Miss Clarity Cafe
205 Upp Thomson Road, Singapore 574345 (11am to 11pm) Closed on Monday.

Wanted to go Hooked Restaurant, however it was closed so decided to give Clarity Cafe another chance.

My Dearest Friend, Due for Labour in July.

I ordered Soft Shell Crab Linguine with Creamy Garlic Sauce. Disappointment sets in again. Sauce not creamy enough, was too watery. Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab had a stale oil smell.

Serene ordered Yorkshire Pork Steak. Was also kinda disappointing.

Verdict: Hope that I will never have to come back for Main Course. Gave this restaurant 2 chance but both times the food failed terribly.

Pumpkin Soup. Too bland. No pumpkin taste at all...

Salmon with Spaghetti (Must order if you are a Salmon and Aglio Olio Fan. You can request for the Salmon to be 50% done. Noodles was fried to perfection!). Only weird thing is that lump of ugly mashed tuna with really weird taste. Very redundant. Remove that and you have a perfect meal.)

Verdict:

They did their speciality very well. Fish was excellent. Better than well known fish restaurants like Manhatten Fish Market and Fish & Co. This restaurant top my list.

Back Home at the void deck. One of my favourite cat, Guai Guai. Although she looked fierce and big, she is actually very demure and don't throw temper at all.

To compensate for the lousy food at Clarity Cafe. We decided to try out this chic chocolate dessert cafe.

Happy to get away from lousy food, wahahaha...

Warm Chocolate Cake ($7.90). Freshly baked, slightly crispy on the outside, warm chocolate sauce in the center. The sweet warm cake was accompanied by a small scoop of cool, lightly sweet, good quality vanilla ice-cream. Perfect!!

Can't wait to eat..

Verdict: For chocolate fans, its a cool and cosy restaurant with delicious desserts worth visiting. Too bad the menu was quite limited.

Mushroom Soup. Looks can be deceiving. Their soup was too watery. I think they replaced the cream with milk which makes the soup taste rather 'low class'.

A mix of different meats with sunny side up. Was very disappointing. Not one of the meat is good.

Accompanied with Potato Wedges. (Taste better than the main course...)

Verdict: Very Pretty Deco, Affordable Menu but Food totally fail... Maybe good choice for drinks and simple desserts only.

Soup of the Day.Disappointing, not of good restaurant standard.

Garlic Bread. Not Aromatic enough.

Tenderloin with ever so delicious baked potato with loads of bacon bits and sour cream.

Chicken cordon bleu. Till now I have not found any restaurant that cooks this dish up to my standard...

The dessert that comes with the Chicken Cordon Bleu Set Meal. Unappealing..

Verdict:

Jacks Place still does best on what it is well known for. Their steaks doneness always meet your expectation. Their baked potatoes always leave me wanting for more. Sinful but irresistable. Haha.. As for the rest of the menu, hmmm... I do not recommend...
