I browsed through the restaurants available at Bugis Junction while waiting for Kel.
Saw MOF - My Izakaya. It is a Japanese Restaurant with modern decoration. I go by my gut feeling and settled down here. It was later confirmed as a good choice:)

Chawanmushi
Very smooth and flavorful! Much better than Sakae Sushi and many other budget Japanese Restaurant.
Ramen .JPG)
Cant remember what Ramen did I order. It was a set that comes with the fried chicken balls. The Soup was delicious! I finish it up to the last drop, almost wanted to lick the bowl, hee...
The chicken that came with it was ok, taste better with mayo, ask for extra mayo for the extra boost..JPG)

Kelvin Unagi Set
Normal I will say, I love Unagi but unagi with rice taste the same to me at all Japanese Restaurant in Sg. The "claypot chicken" was so so.. Kelvin love miso soup and was really disappointed when they informed us that no miso soup was available that day. The soup in the photo was egg soup which was "birds of the same flock" as the "claypot chicken", only so-so.

Dessert
Cant remember the exact name, well my description of the dessert goes here --- Ice-cream soft-serve with green tea sauce accompanied with deep-fried sweet potato balls drizzled with Red Bean Sauce
If this is your first visit and you love dessert, I would recommend this!!! It is oh-so yummy. The sweet potato balls (flown in from Japan, without added sugar) was so sweet and tasty, it matched the green tea ice-cream perfectly. Only one complaint --- the ice-cream melted so fast that we rushed through the dessert time. Hope the ice-cream can be colder on my next visit.

The modern side of the restaurant deco
Verdict: Great Japanese Restaurant with affordable pricing. I finally found a competitor for Sakae which I think is losing out on flavours.
One thing that they should take note is that Miso soup is a staple food in Japanese cuisine so I dont expect a restaurant to be without it at any time unless there is food scares like the Milk with Melamine case recently on news, hee... Overall, my food experience at MOF was great. Will be back again!!!
