Chinese New Year 2009 in Malacca

Saturday, 31st January 2009

We reached the Baba House Hotel around 12.30am. Was already in sleep mode. Waking up and getting off the car was such a tough chore...

The reception is beautifully decorated in Traditional Nonya Style.

After settling down, we decided to relax at the hotel's alfresco pub.

Pretending to chat...
看Joanne心虚的脸,哈哈哈...

What's that in the sky? Its a bird!. It's an aeroplane! What!!! It's underwear!!! Run!!!

Weilun: Don't lie to me! That was not underwear...

Kelvin: Dont shoot me... I am scared... Sobz...

The Next Day

More fun in the hotel with our cameras... Hee...

After checking out of the hotel, we looked around for Nonya Restaurant for a Traditional Nonya Lunch.

This restaurant was the first one we found.
After chatting with the friendly boss, we realised that the restaurant was relatively new. It was recently taken over from the boss relative.
The pineapple tarts looked very appetising... Yum...

Photo taking with this cute, nonya-dressed little girl who came down from upstairs.
She looked like she just woke up, hee...
Her face features are so pretty especially those big round eyes.

This is the front of the restaurant

We decided to browse around for other Nonya Restaurant
This restaurant is very classy. With very 'classy' priced menu too, hee...

Our choice for Lunch landed at Nancy's Kitchen

(The restaurant whom provided the food for TCS famous drama, Little Nonya)

Overall food at Nancy's were ok. Maybe because my expectation of the food was quite high so disappointment set in quick. But it is a restaurant I won't mind coming back to try other dishes on the menu.

End Notes:
Had fun with Joanne and Weilun. This is our 1st holiday trip together. Hope we still have chance for more group holidays with even more fun injected :)
